Not impressed, November 23, 2009 By jm (Minneapolis) - See all my reviews This review is from: CHI 1 Inch Turbo Ceramic Iron (Health and Beauty) Maybe I was mesmerized by the high price tag into buying the Chi thinking: "You get what you pay for." Definitely not the case here. From my experience, this is your garden-variety hair straightener wrapped in a lot of hype. I've had this for two months and honestly don't see or feel a difference from my $30 straightener. In fact, I did a test, straightening one side with the Chi and the other with my old straightener (I was going to use it as a backup to the Chi) and it looked exactly the same. And after two months, I notice no difference with the level of damage to my hair, or in how long my hair stays straight. I think Chi needs to catch up with their technology, it is on par with the cheaper models on the market.

I love it.., December 16, 2009 This review is from: CHI 1 Inch Turbo Ceramic Iron (Health and Beauty) I am pretty sure this is the model I have because the exterior looks the same. I love this straightener. I first used it at my hair salon and the next year in my cosmetology class, these straighteners were pulled out for the customers that would come in. Honestly, I feel they work a whole lot better then any other straightener I've used. It straightens my hair well and my hair hardly ever goes frizzy through out any of the humid conditions. It has a nice barrel for creating beautiful curls (I hardly ever use a curling iron anymore). I've had my straightener for probably 6 or so years now and it still works perfectly fine. I tried switching to another one that I got for $100 and I just went back to my chi. Like I said, I love it.
Works great, August 27, 2011 This review is from: CHI 1 Inch Turbo Ceramic Iron (Health and Beauty) I'm really hard on hair styling tools, this one has so far held up well, the CHI logo popped off but just snaped back on. It gets really hot and I love that you can control the temperature.
