Super product!, March 15, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: 1.25" AMIKA 100% CERAMIC STYLING IRON, NANO TECHNOLOGY, PURPLE (Health and Beauty) I have waist-length hair and it only took 10 minutes to straighten! I got many compliments on how shiney and soft my hair was. The best thing though, is even after being out in the wind and the local bars, I was still able to run a brush through it with no problems! I usually don't do anything with my hair because it takes too long and it ends up feeling like straw, but the Amika changes everything!

This beauty works like a charm! It straightens out my whole head of hair within 5 minutes! No kidding, because it gets hot within seconds of plugging in and glides so smoothly through all of my hair. This Amika iron also does a great job with curls! Although I have failed miserably at curling my own hair (haven't mastered it yet because I haven't had much practice), it did a wonderful job curling my cousin's locks and gave her nice waves. Overall, I am really happy with this purchase, especially for the it's sold at, it really performs to my standards. Comes with 2 hair clips and a cute box! Also, I was sent some hair shampoo, but it spilled all over my ups box =/ Other than that...love it!

I live in Australia. I have used a GHD for about 10yrs and thought that it was the best straightener ever. Until I used the amika..... I have found my hair to be softer and more healthier. It straightens very similar to the ghd but possibly a little bit smoother. Very solid made tool, very pleased with purchase. Bought it through sfr products.
